Hi Chris, Thanks for getting in touch and sharing memories. We played at Nottingham College of Education on Saturday May 22nd 1971, and were supported by ' Emyn Mule '. I shall tell Paul you have been in contact when I see him next, we have started writing songs again, and have a new album out soon, look for more news on our Facebook Page, " katch22sixtiesband ".

When I took over the entertainments at Nottingham College of Ed you were the first band I booked - we had 3 women to every man on campus and the previous Ents Sec only booked hippie bands you had to sit down for. Nobody believed you would be different so I had to ask you to do a "sound check" so they could hear your style in the bar. A good night resulted. Later I worked with Paul Bonner in the agency. Hasppy days

Hi Alex,
Thanks for contacting our website. It would be a very long job to post all of the lyrics, but maybe something we could look at sometime. Many of them are available already on the many lyric websites that exist..

Hi Tom,
Great to hear from You !
Although Katch 22 were formed and based in London , we were heavily influenced by West Coast bands such as yourselves, Beach Boys, Four Seasons, Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Poco, Association, Simon and Garfunkel etc, especially for the close harmony element. We became the chosen band also as session backing singers for many other Artistes of the time. We also found that when we started to write our own music and songs, they also followed the influence, but that was no bad thing.
Our only regret was that we never got to tour in America, but I did get over to Arizona a few years ago, albeit on a holiday, and enjoyed it immensely.
Kind Regards,
Mike.
